Big Chicken Day!

Today was the day we ate the big chicken!! It cooked in the ovens for hours and hours. Mommy said it was really Thanks-giving... I is thankful that Mommy and Frank is giving me some big chickens! I hate waiting, but I was patient and asked nicely for my serving.

When it came out of the ovens, we had to wait even longer! Mommy made some gravee, and heated up the other foods that she and Frank made. It smelled soooo yummy! When I got a look at it, it looked pretty yummy too!

Frank and Mommy got a new terkey platter and it's pretty cool. It came from Pottery Barn. A barn with no chickens. Weird.

Charley got a special dindins with some terkey, some gravy, and some creamed spinach. I was so excited I might have accidentally flung kibbles across the room and got some spinach on the wall... but I cleaned up every bit! My plate was not as pretty as Mommy's:

When we was done, there was a lot left. Frank likes leftovers. I think that they should have shared more with Charley.

I wish every day was big chicken eating day!

Traveling Charley and the Big Chicken!!!

Hi everybody! I know I hasn't been writing much in my bloggie lately, but I has a big update! It's almost holiday time, and I looooves holidays! Usually there is lots of foods, lots of sleeping, and lots of fun with peoples. Yesterday, Frank went to Gettysburg, PA where he likes to go to visit the battlefields, and he took Charley with him! Frank took lots of fotos of Charley exploring the battlefields. I is good at posing for fotos, but I was distracted by all the cool stuffs around to look at and sniff!

Frank says that I look like I'm on a velvet pillow in this foto. I think it needs to be softer.

I got to be King of the Mountain at Little Round Top. I don't understand the name, because it was not very little, and did not look round. But it was fun to be high up!

And since it was a battlefield, of course I had to get a foto of me with a flag.

The best part is that on the way home, we stopped in Maryland at a big chicken farm! My mom says it's a terkee, but it just looks like a big chicken to me! When we gots home at night time, Mommy helped so I could get a close up look.

Dunno why I needed to be soopervized. It's not like I wanted to lick it. Or maybe just a little.

I tried to claim the big chicken for Charley. I don't think it worked.

Then I got even more confused cuz mommy and frank made some yummy stuff (they said it's called 'brine') and then put the chicken in a bag with it. It looked less like a chicken... but I'm still willing to eat it!

It's been a good fun few days! Tomorrow we gets to eat the big chicken! Hooray!

Happy Berfday!

My moms daddy (we call him Big Dad) had a berfday last weekend! Charley got to go with Frank and Mommy to their house to celebrate. I gots to play with my sister Gracie, and then the peoples went to a moovie called Skyfall. I asked if I could go cuz I heard that if the sky is falling there might be a little chicken involved, but they said no.

It's okay though, cuz I still got to play with Gracie, and I also got to get some yummies when everyone got home and made dindins. After dinners, Big Dad made fancy coffees (cappuccinos and espressos and lungos).

Then the peoples had cupcakes from a bakery that does yummy ones that were red velvet, mango, and peanut butter cup. No cupcakes for Charley and Gracie :-(

They had sooper cool candles - the flames were colors! I would have gotten a closer look but I'm not allowed in the fancy eating room. I think Big Mom thought they were cool too.

Happy Berfday Big Dad! Maybe next year you'll share your cake with Charley?

Breaux Vineyards Picnic Day!

Today we all got to go to Breaux Vineyards for a picnic! Apparently, my mommy owed Frank a picnic, so she made chicken salad sammiches, potato salad, and other picnic stuffs, and we went! If you don't know what a picnic is, it's AWESOME. It's like dindins, only the peoples eat on the floor with the puppies! Mommy and Frank brought books to read, which is boring... Charley would rather be chasing squirrels. It was cold outside at first, but then the sun came out and Charley got to fall asleep in a sunbeam, which is one of my favorite things!

Ginger and Frank felled asleep in the sun too. Hee hee...

My mommy took some pictures of me with her wine glass, because peoples kept walking by and going 'oooo' cuz it looked like Charley was drinking wines. (Charley was not drinking wines, I is not 21).

We had a fun day!

I loves Birthdays!

Hi Everyones!

I has not updated in a long times, because my mommy hasn't been taking any good pictures. Also, Mommy and Frank keep going on adventures without Charley (gasp!). They went to Gettysburg, and mommy went to California, and they went to Mount Vernon lots of times... anyway.

Last weekend I gots to go to a birthday party! I thought it was a birthday party for Charley, but then found out it was for Jeanette. I got there sooper early with mommy and her friend Jenee, and we decorated all over. The theme was 'Margaritas and Munchies' - I never has had a margarita, but I loooove munchies! Everyone (except for Charley and Toby) got their own Margarita glasses to bring home with them! I asked mommy if i could have hers... she said no. Poopies.

I runned around all night (oh, I forgot to mention it was a sleep over!!) and hung out with everyones. Rachel brought her doggie named Toby who is also a hot doggie! We played a bit and then just kinda ignored each other. I spent a lot of time especially with Mo, who is sooper cool. I licked her nose a lot and we played and she rubbed my tummy!

Jeanette opened pressies (Charley didn't get any pressies... grrr) and everyone also played a game called Apples to Apples. I don't know why it is called thats - I loves apples! I did not see or smell one single apple (or even a little piece of an apple) the whole time! But everyones was laughing ad having fun, so I guess it's okay.

Everyone stayed up pretty late and had lots of margaritas and sangria and munchies (tacos, brownies, meatballs, dip, you name it!! I even gots some meatballs!!) Later on in the night time Jeanette and Amy and mommy were playing Disney Scene it and then fell asleep. I has the proof...

It was a really fun night! In the morning we had tacos and meatballs (I had some meatballs again) for breakfast... hee hee. Then my mommy thought it would be funny to wrap me up in 30th birthday caution tape... it wasn't MY birthday mommy!!

The whole nights was sooper awesome. I wish it was a birthday every single day!!!

I SAW CHICKENS!

Today was the bestestest day of my whole life! And trust me, I has had some pretty awesome days. Today I went to Cox's Farm with Frank and Mommy. First, I got to has some watermelons. It was yummy. Then we went past lots of plants and stuff, which smelled cool. Then we went around the corner and saw... CHICKENS! Lots and lots of thems!



I was soooo excited that I barked a whole lot. Frank tried to make me stop but it was absolutely no use (he should know that by now). But I did try super hard to be quieter so I could stay with the chickens a bit longer.



Then we came homes and mommy and Frank wanted me to drink some water but I didn't really feel like it (I'm kinda scared of water, but don't tell anyone). So to convince me to drink some, we invented a new game! Bobbing for Kibbles! It's sooper fun! I has a video but can't upload it for some reason... I will try later.

Speedy is better!

So it's been sooper busy the last two weeks, but the bestest news is that Speedy is better! Not the same yet as he was before, but he's billions of times better than when he first came home from the hospitals.

The doctors said that he had a stroke-like event, and the better he gets the more we all thinks they was right.

He still has troubles with stairs and some walking stuff, so Frank bought a harness for him. Mommy and Frank fitted it on Speedy tonight. I HATES clothes, but this harness looks like fun. It has handles so people can pick him up if they has too!



All finished! We will test it out tonight when we go peepeedoodoo before beds. I will help by barking at anyone who tries to distract us. :-)

Hello Inter-Nets!

Hi internets! This week has been different than usual, because my mommy has been home with Charley! (and Ginger, and Speedy) I asked her if she can stay home all the time but she said that she has to go to the work place. I don’t like the work place, because I is not allowed to go theres… so it must be a bad place.

Mommy has been acting kinda weird though, she sleeps a lot and doesn’t play as much with me, which is poopy. But Frank got me a prezzie for Hanukkah! It’s a Snoozer bed and it’s soooper awesome!

I sometimes sleep on top, sometimes on the “porch” which is really fluffy, and sometmes all the way in the back. It’s sooper warm and awesome. So that’s what’s been going on in Charley-land… I wishes I had more to say but it’s been boooooring here.

I went potty all by myself!

Hello bloggie world! I has a great story for everyone today!

When I is living at Frank's house, we have a special place to go potty. We go out the front door, down the sidewalk, past two other houses, and then there is a biiiiig place that's all covered with grass! That's the place where Ginger, Speedy and Charley (I is Charley) goes potty (sometimes mommy calls it peepeedoodoo... silly mommy).

Today Mommy and Frank came homes, and sometimes when Frank comes homes he says he will take us outsides, but then somehow it takes FOREVER. Frank says he is taking us outsides, and then he picks up some papers, and then he washes some dishes, and then he cleans the doggie water bowl, and then who even knows! Today we was all ready to go and THEN Frank took a box that the mail mans brought and started to open it.

I knows that if I go potty inside I get in BIG trouble. And I really had to goes!! Frank was busy so I decided that I is a grown up Charley and I can go potty all by myselfs.

I knew exactly where to go! So I went. Right out the front door. The pixtur is not when I went by myself... mommy and Frank told me I should have a pixture for my bloggie so Frank went outside and mommy took a picture of my butt. I wish I had a pixtur of when I REALLY went outside by myself... I bet I looked much stealthier. And I wouldn't have taken a pixtur of my own butt.



I didn't have my collar or my tags on mes, so I ran sooper fast all the way to my peepeedoodoo spot. Then I heard mommy say "where is Charley?" (I has very great hearing). Then Mommy and Frank said that I had to be inside, so I heard them call "Charley!!" but they called like I was inside the house! I didn't want them to worry, so I ran back to mommy and Frank. They still thought I was inside... hee hee, but then I guess they were very worried so they opened the front door and looked outside just in time to see me come running sooper fast (I was like a speeding bullet... er.... speeding Charley?) straight down the sidewalk. I runned right up the steps and mommy and frank were soooo happy to see me! I got lots of pets and rubs and they said I was a good boy.

I think this means that it's okay to go outside and go peepeedoodoos all by myself all the times. I think I'll try it again tomorrow... hee hee.

New Shelf

Hi bloggie friends! Last night, Frank and Mommy finally put up two shelfs that they got at the store a long long time agos. I didn't knows what they was going to puts there... but it looked nice. Here is a pixtur:



I wuz sooo bored when they was working on the shelfs that i tore apart a whole squeegie! It's in lots of little pieces with the insides on the outsides (and all over the floor now... hee hee). But when the finished with the shelfs I found out what they wanted to put on it...

They wanted to put Charley on it!!!! Then mommy said that she was kidding... and so i is be okay. I was only up theres for a minute. Long enough to take pixtures and laugh... I'll get them back though. I promise!

I loves doxie meetups!

Hihihi to everybodies out in the bloggie world! I has been sooper busies as usual, but I has to share something cools I did the other days.

Mommy sometimes takes me to something called a doxie meetup. It's like a big party for just long doggies like I is. This time it was at a person called Brookes house. Brookes house has a pool! I got there and I remembered it from last year. I learned to swim in her pool last year. This time I was still scared but not as much scared. Mommy put me in a few times. I think I might have liked it but not quite enough to jump in myself yet. There were doggies everywheres, and there was even doggie cheesecake! Mommy shared some of her hot doggie too.

Gardening and going to a Vineyard!

This weekend has been hugely lots of fun! Gracie came to visit, and then I went to visit Gracie. I gots to play muchos with scooter, and then we did some new stuffs for the rest of the weekend which I is sooper excited to tell you about!!















Firsts, yesterdays mommy did something called gardening. She said that she didn't like the stuff growing outsides of the house and so she and Patrick dug everythings up (except the tree) and planted new flowers and stuffs. It looks lots better. And Scooter got to dig, so he was sooper happy.

Then today, we wents to a vineyard! It was called Loudoun Valley Vineyard. I don't know what a vine is. But I know what a yard is. It was not what I expected. There was no fences. But lots of grass and plants and people and doggies. Mommy said it was an event called "Bark and Wine" which means the doggies get to bark and walk around and the peoples get to have wines. I didn't get any wines. But when we got there, we went to a tent and mommy and Patrick got baggies that had goodies for me and Scooter! They had bandannas and water and cookies!

We took a walk around the vineyard and then hung out whiles mommy and Patrick had some wine and some foods from a picnic basket. They shared the foods but not the wine. The foods was good... they hads bread and brie and salami and grapes and apples and cookies. I got some of everything but the grapes and cookies.

By the times we was done, we was all pooped. It's a long but fun weekend. And mommy said she gets to stay home tomorrow from work. Hooray!

Lots going on in Charley-land

Sowwy that I hasn't updated in a longs times. Mommy has been busy, which means that she doesn't let me update my bloggie. *sniff*

But there's been lots going on! Mommy says I don't have much times to update, so I gots to be as fast as I can. A whiles ago Mommy's Mommy and Daddy went away on a trip to another place far away. So we went to live at their house to help out while they were gones. Which means I gots to live with Gracie! For two whole weeks! We played and played and played lots, and got to go to Beth's every day to run around in her backyard (like a little doggie park) with Murphy. By the ends of the two weeks we was so tired we spended most of our time sleeping. Expecially when there was a sunbeam to sleep in.

Then last weekends Mommy and Patrick left me and Scooter at a Dogs Day Out for the whole weekends! I hasn't been theres for a long time. I forgotted it. I was so scared when mommmy left me that I peed on the floor. But I think it was okay. I got to runs around lots and lots all weekends with Scooter! Dogs Day Out is a nice place with fences to keep the big doggies from getting too close to me and Scooter. Mommy and Patrick went to New York to meet more peoples. But no doggies, so I don't mind. I wishes I could go with them though. Mommy said I would be scared of the plan. I isn't scared of nothing!

This week has been goods, with lots of visits to the doggie park. I has been playing fetch with mommy. Yay! I gots go now!

Me LOOOOOOOOOOOOVES the doggie park!

I is sooper happy cuz the weather has been nice for the last lots of days. It was snowy and icy and cold and wet befores that. So when weather is good and happy, mommy takes me to the doggie park! We went a few dayses ago, and this time she took pixtures! There was this sooper cool schnoodle there named MJ who I played with lots. And of course I played with Scooter a lot too! The other doggie in the pixture is Miles.

She also tooks videos of me running arounds and arounds, which is my favorite thing to do some days. Some days I likes to kind of just watch and wander around. But this day I was soooooooooooo excited to be at the doggie park that I ran for ages! I ran lots with MJ, and some more with a little white doggie that was cool. I didn't know her name thoughs.

So we gots to stay at the doggie park for ages! It was sooper fun. I played and played and played. Mommy brought some kibble too, and she called me to come sometimes and gave me one. She says that I never listens when we is at the park, so we has to practice. I think that's okies, since it means I get a yummy!

After we finished at the doggie park, we had dindins. And then I think we played some mores. But I can't remember. But one day (maybe this day) Patrick brought me a bobo toy! Scooter and I played and played and then we played tug o wars. Then we destroyed it! Mwahahaha. We chewed it all up. Patrick hid the squeaky from us thoughs. I has pixtures of that too, and maybe some more mooo vies. I'll ask mommy if we can post some of it sometime soon. For now's here's more moovies from the day at the doggie park! I guesses I has lots to say. I also had a great time yesterdays with my mommy's mommy and my mommy's daddy and my auntie Julie and Gracie. I got lots of rubs, and I alsos got to play a game with a ball where mommy and mommy's daddy rolled it around and Gracie and I's chased it! It was soooper cool.

Eeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwww water!

Hi to all the doggies in cyber spaces! Hasn't really written in my bloggies in a looooong time. I's been busy. Mostly sleepies and eating, but those is the most importantest things to a charley doggie like I is. But anyways, on to the part of why I was writing in my bloggie today (other than my mommy is boring and I wanted somethings to do).

Today mommy decided I was dirty. Silly mommy, I's been dirty for aaaaaaaages. Why does I has to get cleans today? I gots all the nice smellies from the doggie park and the outdoors and everyfing elses. Getting clean makes them all gones! But mommy said it's been too much time since my last bath and so I says... poopies for mommy.

At first I forgot that I don't like waters. Then mommy poured some water on my head! And that meant it's time to escape! But I didn't gets to escape. I got back in the tubs and then mommy gave me some yummy chicken hot doggies. I didn't knows that chickens and hot doggies could be the sames. But mommy says so, and they's yummy, so I guess that's all that is emportant.

When I finally gots out mommy said she had to make sure I was nice and dry and then I has to stay indoors for a few hours. So now i is on my mommy's pillow watching out the window for intruders (you know, peoples, doggies, birdies, skwerrels, cars... leaves... wind... rocks...)

I likes the videeeoohs stuffs, so I has put one of me doing my little post-bath routine. Not really a routine cuz mommy never remembers to bathe me but maybe one time per month or some times 2 months. But I likes to shake and then dig and then rub (mostly my face) alll overs! Yaaaaaaay. At the ends of the videeeohs, I earns some mores of those chicken hot doggies doing mommy's favorite trick. I wroted about its befores in this bloggie, but if you don't 'member, iz okies, cuz its in the videeeeohs.

Hope everyones is having a nice Febraaury. Some days here it is okies and we go to the park. But some days it is yukky and icy and I stays inside and drives mommy cwazy insteads. Hee hee.
